fasttrack software

Hi,
I just got FastTrack software (www.aecsoft.com) to help me manage schedules for publication and consulting projects.

I wondered if there was any users on tribe and wanted to connect so maybe we can help each other?

    I"m replying to my own post a few months in.

    I like Fasttrack - I'd recommend making one HUGE schedule of all projects because that's the only way to really get an overview. I've never used MS Project, not sure if that is a limitation with that pkg too.

    I have to say I'm not overly impressed with fasttrack - overall. It's okay.

        you know, nothing at all. my boss was convinced that it was THE package to buy. why, i have no idea. it seems so whatev...i think it's supposed to have web publishing capabilities, but they're pretty basic.

        Project is great, especially for organizational development projects, build-outs, contracting, etc.

          plus, just about everybody else uses it, which is a decent reason to use it yourself.

          this is another thread, but are there PM "user" groups that meet around san francisco? I'd really like to be able to talk about work stuff with a group of people who understand!

    Hello! I'm arriving a bit late in this conversation. I do use FastTrack Schedule 8.x on Mac OS X and Palm OS. I not an expert in FastTrack, though I'm quickly becoming proficient. I use it primarily for scheduling consulting and custom software development projects.
