I'm an Access programmer who's been out of IT for about three years. I'm looking to get back into the industry and there are open positions. I get contacted around once a week.
For example someone contacted me about a six month contract in San Jose working directly under the PM. However, once the recruiter saw the lapse in my resume, she wouldn't even submit me. I even offered to reduce my price to one third of my rate for the first month.
This problem keeps coming up, does anyone have any advice?
Thanks.

Re: Advice
Wed, April 13, 2005 - 1:55 AMWell, my goal is to become a project manager so I'm studying for the CAPM. I imagine when they get desperate enough they'll start considering me. Though I'd almost work for free right now to add to my resume.
